Dr. Dennis Dosselman

Tucson Home Vet Doctor Dosselman graduated from Oregon State University in 2001 with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and began practicing in Las Vegas, Nevada at a large multi-doctor practice. This practice provides medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, and a variety of other pets including reptiles, birds, and small mammals. While in Nevada, Dr. Dosselman also served as a veterinarian for Mandalay Bay Shark Reef, which is a large aquarium-zoo attraction for the public. At Shark Reef, he worked with such animals as saltwater crocodiles, sea turtles, pythons, monitors, sharks, and fishes. Veterinarian Dr. Dosselman then made the move to Tucson where he began his house call vet practice, a large component of which would be Tucson home euthanasia (euthanize, put to sleep) services for beloved family pets. Tucson was not new to Dr. Dosselman, as he earned his Bachelor degree in Biology from the University of Arizona. After finishing with his Bachelor degree, he attended Brigham Young University in Utah to earn a Master of Science degree while working on a genetic study of lizards. He then went on to earn his DVM. Along with his interest in dogs and cats and extensive training with these pets, Dr. Dosselman has always had an interest in reptiles. This interest in reptiles led him to participate in such activities as training with renowned reptile vet Dr. Doug Mader, serving as a guest lecturer on reptile anatomy at Oregon State University, teaching the reptile and amphibian course lab at Brigham Young University, and publishing an original scientific article in the prestigious journal Herpetologica. Dr. Dosselman is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
